Maker’s Journal: Presenting the LNY 2024 Collection, with notes by our founder, Eileen
After 6 months of hard work, we are so excited to present our Lunar New Year collection, made with love by our team and seamstresses in Singapore. The extensive collection caters to a variety of preferences, often inspired by conversations we have had with our dear customers over the years. Thank you to all the lovely customers who have shared their thoughts with us!
PRINTS
We have selected a few seasonal prints for the occasion. These include:
NEW STYLES
We are thrilled to debut a few new styles, including the highly anticipated Contessa Cheongsam. We have combined an elegant mandarin collar and stone button details with a flattering panel in a maxi length, which allows the dress to gently swish about with every step you take.

We also have the Pipper Cheongsam, which is probably one of the most technically challenging styles we have ever designed! We deeply considered the drape of the cape and the placement of the back zipper to ensure a seamless, premium fit. It took our seamstresses 3 iterations to perfect the design.

We have also designed two new cheongsam tops this year. The Myra Cheongsam Top, available for tweens (12Y/14Y) and ladies, features romantic butterfly sleeves and a peekaboo detail in the front. The Raven Cheongsam Top is designed with puff sleeves and a modern mandarin collar with V neck detail.

REPRISAL OF POPULAR STYLES
If you have an Elizabeth Little design you love from years before, don’t worry! By popular request, we are also reprising a few signature designs that you love for the upcoming Lunar New Year.
CAMELLIA DRESS
The best-selling Camellia Dress, which you love for its flattering flutter sleeves, returns with an equally flattering new neckline: a classic V-shape for a modern touch that lets you wear the dress all year round.
The Camellia Dress is loved for its flutter sleeves, popular with customers who are conscious of their upper arms.
DANIELLE DRESS & ARIEL DRESS
The Danielle Dress and Ariel Dress are also perennial favourites for their classic, work-friendly silhouettes. Danielle, our classic shirt dress with an A-line silhouette, returns in a new print. This season, we have also revised the Ariel dress with a 4 button front and smaller notched lapels for a more flattering fit. Both options are formal enough for Lunar New Year visiting and hosting, but versatile enough to be used throughout the year.

HOLLY BLOUSE & EMMELINE BLOUSE
Prefer separates or a more relaxed fit? Our Holly Blouse and Emmeline Blouse return for the Lunar New Year! Their dainty cloud sleeves and box silhouette make these tops easy to reach for all around the year, and pair well with both everyday shorts and trousers.

CHEONGSAMS AND MORE NEW DESIGNS FOR GIRLS
For those shopping for the family, you are most welcome to bring in your girls to try on our new designs! Our new Mira Cheongsam is an easy but beautiful dress that features a comfortable round mandarin collar, ruffle sleeves, and a playful ruffle hem. What we particularly like about this design is the matching stone buttons that line the bodice. We also are reprising the always popular Olivia Cheongsam Dress, designed with a low mandarin collar for comfort and playful accents that young girls love to twirl about in.

If you prefer an option without a mandarin collar, look to the new Matilda Dress and Rowan Dress. We designed the Matilda Dress as an homage to Roald Dahl’s Matilda, a bright, spirited, and articulate young girl who loves to read. With cap sleeves and matching buttons, the star of the dress is undoubtedly the vintage-inspired, preppy Swiss-made broderie anglaise collar.
Girls who love flutter sleeves will adore our new Rowan Dress, inspired by the whimsy and charm of Enid Blyton’s worlds. The dress is made with a gathered skirt, butterfly sleeves, and a dainty V-back that is as functional as it is beautiful — the elastic back comes with 2 additional button lengths for growth allowance.
